Red Roof Inn Montgomery - Midtown

By and large, it was cozy base for sightseeing in Montgomery, had much fun and met superfriendly staff at check-out. The hotel was in a marvellous and ideal location, in the local neighborhood. Plus, it was short walk to restaurants and a gas station and McDonalds and Krystal. Appreciated wonderful venue, we would stay here again.

simple but good breakfast. Very large king-size bed. Need a car to get to downtown Montgomery.

Do recommend for a brief stopover

Comfortable room, convenient location, with free parking and a tv, made my stay enjoyable while I explored the nearby restaurants.

Breakfast was good.

We asked for an extra bed and they didn't have one. They didn't have shampoo and even though there were 6 of us in the reserve there were only 3 towels.

Avoid If Possible, Safety Concerns

The lobby felt unsafe, with unwanted attention from men, and the staff made my room number public. Cleanliness was lacking, and I couldn't use the shower. I recommend finding other options in the area for peace of mind.

The noise. Hotel between two roads

breakfast room is tiny... surprisingly, I was alone at lunch, for a very large hotel on 2 levels... rooms are spacious and clean, nothing to complain about! large choice of restaurants all around the hotel, without having to take the car back (pizza, fish, fast food...

We had chosen this hotel for the swimming pool, but it only opened the following week ... too bad! Especially since further north (in North Carolina) we were able to enjoy the outdoor swimming pools! . Too bad we couldn't choose our room : the 2 times we booked, we were on the side of the road, while some rooms were empty inside, around the pool ... The breakfast is not very provided .

The shower had good water pressure.

The smell in the rooms were not pleasing. Seemed to be an allergen-ripe must in the air. The light plugs were loose and unstable. The men working on the property were noisy. The pool which I asked about on the day I entered was supposed to be open and operating. I was told it was but it was shut down all week due to poor chemical treatment. The wi-fi worked sometimes.
